It's been 10 years since this album's release (October 18, 2005). Still sounds remarkably fresh for a late-period veteran album. Stevie came back strong.

I think he's on top form here.. some of it is up there. "Sweetest Somebody" is superb.

because this album should be on the radio, but as with anything made from the best 60s and 70s artists in the 2000s it is mostly ignored.

yeah this album rocks. everyone compares, and that's fine, but sometimes it's nice to not compare and just enjoy for what it is. this kills anything i've heard from kanye west or whoever is popular now (but i'm biased).

I'm not a big fan of this album to be honest. I agree with hotterthanjuly on basically everything he said there.

brilliant album. I know it was delayed when it was released but this feels like a LOT of effort went into making it.

without GOD we can do nothing...Through Christ JESUS we can love even our enemies and have peace within that go's beyond this world....for it is written " thru Christ we can do all things" and "without LOVE i am nothing"

A time to love is amazing. It really is old school classic Stevie with a modern twist. I hate how radio and the mainstream doesn't pay artists over 45+ or real soul any attention. But then again I don't listen to the radio or watch music tv much, only vh1 classic.
