Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble is very good. Composing music is my life and I have always wanted to become a musician. This year I finally achieved this. After losing my time with inadequate software I finally found the #1 software for music creation for 2013. Wanna learn more? please visit: http://djproduction.info/
the comparisons to Jimi have got to stop. they are both 2 of the best musicians the world has ever seen, cant that be enough? neither is 'better' than the other, if you spend time arguing otherwise, you have missed the point of art at this level. Both of them were brilliant, both were visionary, both are solely missed, and both died way too young. Can we leave it at that, please?
There is a big difference between Stevie and Jimi (Hendrix). Stevie was very talented and he was very good technically (I mean how he treated the instrument). But Jimi was genius. So Stevie was a little schoolboy near Jimi. Believe me, I love both two. No one can't beat Jimi on electric guitar. (And no one can't beat [artist]Paco de Lucía[/artist] on acoustic.
"Jimi had him beat in every, musical, aspect." LOL no. You cannot honestly listen to SRV and just call him a complete copy-cat...Jimi was a much better songwriter than SRV, but I'd say SRV's playing was on par with Jimi's, even more so at certain times. I personally think SRV solos better than Jimi
People...SRV was amazing, but Jimi had him beat in every, musical, aspect. Stevie just seemed to take from his technique, Jimi really had nobody to help him with his talent expect for himself, SRV is just a copy-cat.
Despite not being very technically proficient player, Stevie will always remain one of my favorite guitarist because when he performed, he played with such passion and feel. Similarly like Jimi Hendrix, you feel like SRV was born with the blues in his blood and a guitar in his hand.
