Steven Dawe grew up on the UK’s South Coast and developed a love for everything music from an early age. Steve is married and has been blessed with two lovely children. He started learning the Piano at the age of 7 and his passion for music continued to grow as other musicians began to inspire him with the unique use of their talents.
Steve loves the variety music can bring from around the world, with his eclectic collection of music bringing inspiration from many styles and genres. He enjoys the improvisation of smooth piano jazz, the rhythmic guitar of folk and the beats from funk wherever it can be found, if it’s ‘real’ music then it’ll grab his attention. During the last couple of years he has been focused on artists whose music isn’t over produced with a particular interest in unplugged sessions.
Growing up Steve longed to pursue jazz and had begun pursuing it; however, in his early teens he started attending a local church and discovered that there was more to life than the treadmill he was heading towards. Two decades later and he is still a musician and loving every minute of it. Currently he is mostly involved in music within the church, with regular opportunities to lead worship and work with other musicians with similar aspirations. He says “Music is a powerful tool and with it I hope I can encourage and inspire people with melodies and lyrics of substance”.
