There is an entire ocean of zombie-like singer songwriters in today’s world. They live among us, breathe the same air, eat the same food, and come to the same social gatherings. Maybe you’ve even spotted one at one of your own parties. They're not hard to find, they normally show up with some sort of acoustic guitar, and proceed to play endless original songs no matter how loud the music from the stereo is playing. Although most of these singer-songwriters can clear out a room after 1 original song, artist Steve Van Tine has proven he can move an audience emotionally, rather than to another room. All his life Steve has been fascinated with the power of raw human emotion, and how to translate those feelings through art. At age 5 he joined a performing arts company. He performed plays, high-level acrobatics, and improvisational skits for large audiences. Illustration and fine arts are also other areas in which Steve has always excelled, winning many high school contests, within the school and against many other schools in the county, as well as numerous scholarships. In college, Steve studied Art, Film, and Music, testing the waters for which medium he felt most passionate in. Although Steve still occasionally paints and writes screenplays, he devotes as much time as possible to becoming a better songwriter/musician. With hundreds of songs written, re-written, scrapped, and released, Steve has the experience needed to last in the difficult world of professional songwriting. His latest original full-length album "In Seas of Debt and Diamonds" demonstrates high skill in core songwriting, as well as passionate vocals, and unique lyrics that illustrate emotions that we all know and bind us as human beings. Even at a young age Steve took to performing arts like a fish to water. With his true dedication to art, it is truly only a matter of time when that foreshadowing proves right and Steve is widely recognized for his unique talent and devotion.
