Sex and Religion is a Steve Vai album presented under the name of simply "Vai" and before then "Light Without Heat" but had to be changed due to copyright issues to the original name. It features Strapping Young Lad and The Devin Townsend Band vocalist and guitarist Devin Townsend on vocals before he started either one of his own bands.   • His best album for me, but the production is the shit. Should be remastered in a good way.
  • Don't like the production, but the vox are outstanding!
  • Fans of Devin Townsend need to realize there wouldn't be a "Devin Townsend Project" or "Ziltoid" if he didn't hook up with Vai.
  • Guess I'm in the minority, but Devin Townsend's vocals are stinking up the joint.
  • first two tracks (excluding intro) are brilliant! rest is *just* great/really good
  • Before some of those solos I always hear this tiny voice yelling "Mom! MOM!!! LOOK what I can do on my guitar!!" but this glorious performance of Devin Townsend just doesn't leave any fucks to give...
  • S'not really a waste of Devin, he's definitely the kind of guy who does pop-rock ballads well - "Life" and "Stagnant" come to mind.
