Three important elements of a good outdoor music concert: 1. Good music. 2. Good weather. 3. Good people. All three of these were accomplished at the annual Alderney Landing Canada Day show in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. It was a beautiful sunny day that attracted thousands of people of all different ages to the stage of Alderney Landing. The show this year contained some of Canada’s best singer/songwriter treasures.
The show started off in the middle of the afternoon with the Prince Edward Island born and raised musician taking to the stage to play a few tracks from her discography. She took to the stage by herself with only her acoustic guitar entertaining the crowd with banter in between tracks talking about her roots on the Island. She also drew a few chuckles and smiles as she introduced a new song she wrote from the perspective of coffee showing her sense of humour and charm.
