Biography

A duo comprised of experimental British bassist Steve Lawson and American singer/songwriter Lobelia. They specialise in looped and layered ambience, playing Lobelia’s songs as well as a range of unexpected cover versions, such as Love Is A Battlefield or Black Hole Sun.

They perform all over the UK, and occasionally in Europe, and released a live-in-the-studio EP in early 2008 called Live In Nebraska.

Following a baby-inspired hiatus in 2009, the duo toured the UK and US from May - July of 2010, and released a live album, Live So Far, recorded on the US tour in June and July. The album was initially a 6 track release, but they added to it as they went along, enjoying the flexibility of a digital release strategy to expand an album as they went along, release it via Bandcamp.com. The sales of the album helped to fund the tour.


Both artists continue to perform solo, often combining their shows, so both play solo sets and then together.
