Steven Paul Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was the co-founder and CEO of Apple computers. Together with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Jobs helped popularize the personal computer. He was among the first to see the commercial potential of the mouse-driven GUI and in 1988, purchased the computer animation firm Pixar from Lucasfilm.
