Saw them September 4, 1993, at the Woodlands, north of Houston. Got the concert tee to prove it. One of the best concerts I've ever been to, and it fulfilled a dream. I've heard that they played some select venues, starting in 1990, but not as the Dan. A good friend of mine claims to have seen them during that period. But, then again, he thought I was there with him, too. So, I guess it's possible he was just "smacked into a trance"....

Just saw them last night, easily the best show I've ever been to. Elvis Costello was great as well, but seeing The Dan live was surreal.
