Biography

Starmania is a not an artist, but french/québécois musical, created in 1978 by Michel Berger (music) and Luc Plamondon (lyrics). It takes places in tells the story of Johnny Rockfort, a young suburban voyou who is the chief of the “black stars”.
The original version is composed with Daniel Balavoine, Claude Dubois, Diane Dufresne, Nanette Workman, France Gall, Eric Esteve and Fabienne Thibeault.

It is a classical album for french music.

A real masterpiece of the passed decades, it's still strking when listening to those songs in 2009, or even later, just thinking about the people living in "Le Temp d'Avant Monopolis" <3~

C'est simple, Starmania est la seule "comédie musicale" qui ait un intérêt... loin devant les daubes comme Cléopatre ou Le Roi soleil...

C'est dommage que l'on confonde L'opéra-rock Starmania avec l'émission allemande... Starmania: Un véritable chef-d'oeuvre.
