Biography

Star Voyage was founded in 2009 by Jordan Muse. He was inspired by trip-hop, hip-hop, trance, and general electronica. It was first established as intended to be a collaboration between Jordan Muse and synthesizer-afficionado Erik Colony. However, he only co-produced and/or inspired two tracks produced entirely or not. These were the first track “a beat x” or “untitled 1” as well as the “pressure vibe demo” sample.

The early works were collected as a self-titled EP also known as “Demo” in 2009. Star Voyage then released another EP to precede his forthcoming album. This EP is known as “HARDxCORE”. They soon released the “Star Voyage” EP containing the original versions of the title track along with a self-made remix. The Debut album “The Voyage Begins” was finally released in 2010, after several tracks were lost. Of the tracks known to be lost, “Narayanstone”, a trance piece is the most significant.

Star Voyage took an unintentional hiatus until January 2011 when they released their second album “//process.life” on January 17th. In the early morning after they released a stand-alone single titled “perception = rhythm.movement.life” which crossed into more drum and bass territory.

Distribution efforts went in full force in early 2011 when Jordan Muse started packaging, seeding, and distributing torrents of his Star Voyage albums. Initially appearing on bittorrent and at seedpeer. He created torrents for all his albums as well as a discography that include the track “NeverForget” produced in 2009 as work on the debut album was stalling.

Star Voyage created a twitter account on the morning of January 18, 2011. The first tweet spread the torrent discography. You can follow @saintminya
