    I was tinkering with my cheap keyboard today, when I realised the growing number of bands I listen to that use the stuff.

    Synthesizers, vocoders, loop-pedals, drum machines, cheese fries. You know what I mean.

    And one of my favourite bands of that genre (electronica maybe? pop?) is the collaboration between Benjamin Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello : The Postal Service.

    Their sound is full of electronic beeps and beats that seem to suit Gibbard's words and singing, much better than the music of his own Death Cab for Cutie.

    Eisley doesn't quite have the electronic style of The Postal Service, but it has a keyboard. And a very pretty girl playing it. And two other very pretty girls. So whatever, yeah.

    that's tricky. two summers ago i lived and breathed Death Cab for Cutie. now my favourite is Eisley, though i don't seem to listen to them that much. too much new music.

    Land of Talk, The Blow, Gingerbread Patriots, Bedroom Walls, The Oohlas, The Bird and the Bee.

    Regina Spektor! Stacy DuPree, Emily Haines, Jenny Lewis, Emiliana Torrini, Cat Power.

    7. Best male voice?
    Matthew Good, Damien Rice, Andrew McMahon.

    uhhh. indie, but that's not really a type. i listen to a lot of rock, pop/rock, electronic ...

    The Blow, maybe? gets me moving.
