  • Good album.
  • If there's one thing that I love about this album, it's that some songs can absolutely be bathed in Technicolor ("What Me Worry", "Human Racing") while others seem to currently hold the position of some of the most maniacal vocal performances Annie Clark has ever put to tape ("Your Lips Are Red", "Paris Is Burning"). Although it's a very strong debut album, after having listened to this long after I discovered her later work, it's fascinating to here how far she's come along since then.
  • This is her best album, her masterpiece ;) . Very good polyrhythmic stuff. She should stop with this wankery garbage she does now.
  • I haven't been able to get into her other records as of yet, but this is lovely.
  • first time I've heard this album, being a fan of her other work. I'm liking it a lot so far, there's more of an overt accessibility and - I guess - 'lightness' to it, but there's still a lot of the distinctive St. Vincent-ness that's explored more on later albums. Really love the strings, too. Can't go wrong with well-produced strings.
  • One of the most incredible albums I've ever heard. <3
  • great album
  • @tahbyfet - I was floored.
  • My favorite album of hers. And that is saying alot, as I love all three of her albums with all my heart.
  • Marry Me... It's really-good-but-not-flooring. It's the misfit St. Vincent record. Love it, but the overproduction often buries the songs. I'm still obsessed, though, so that must count for something.
