Sputniko! is a cyber femme based in London.
Since 2007 Sputniko! has produced music, films and electronic devices exploring themes such as transhumanism, vengeful cyborgs and open-sourced boyfriends, and has performed worldwide with the likes of Japanese pop legends Shonen Knife and Damo Suzuki(ex-Can vocalist).

Her influences include Laurie Anderson, Miranda July, and J-Pop idols Perfume.

Sputniko! also composes music for films, and her tracks have been used in Ident movies for MTV Networks International (http://www.sputniko.com/works/2008/mtv-idents) in 2008. In 2009 Sputniko!’s ‘Google Song’ was selected for the 30/30 songwriting award organized by music label EMI and Roundhouse. She has also collaborated with artists including DJ Codomo (Kiiiiiii producer) and Taro Nijikama (Shiranui/360 records)

In February 2009, Sputniko! released her 1st dvd album Parakonpe 3000 (http://www.sputniko.com/works/2009/parakonpe3000) from 360°records which includes her early works music and film works produced in between 2006 and 2008. Sputniko! is also a member of Android Music, an audiovisual duo with artist Taro Nijikama. Android Music released its 1st dvd album Earth, Even though it sounds unfamiliar from 360°records on the same day as Parakonpe 3000.
