There are five artists with this name:

1.) Spot, originally signed to Ardent records, released their critically acclaimed self-titled album in 1995 and scored national airplay for “Moon June Spoon.” While the band continued to tour nationally to support the debut release, Interscope entered into negotiations with Ardent to acquire Spot. Unfortunately, the deal ended up in litigation within a year, and Spot was forced to quietly ride out the remainder of a 5-year contract without support to tour or release additional material.

2.) Spot, a Swiss heavy rock band from the 70’s.
They were sort of like Toad, Janus, Krokodil, and Neon Rose. An early seventies Swiss band that played fine heavy rock with a blues tinge. …Did a version of Donovan’s “Jersey Thursday” and a particularly manic “Sabre Dance”. Blues rock in the Deep Purple-Led Zeppelin style. Bands from this era are heavily into the British heavy blues-rock in fusion with the psychedelic influences of other swiss bands like Krokodil or Country Lane. Members were: Pavlo Pendaki (vocal, keyboards) John Woolloff (lead guitar, vocals) Andre Jungo (bass) Philippe Dubugnon (drums ) Originally on Swiss folk-label EVASION. (Re-released on Ohrwaschl in 1997). Worth searching out.

3.) Spot, a bulgarian skate-punk band from Rousse, formed in 1994 by the name of “Water”. A year later the band saw it’s debut infront of an audience, this time calling themselves “Counterfit”. After few years with numerous gigs and lineup changes, the band finally settled with the name “Spot” in 1999 and retains it’s quartet formation till today.
