About this album

Kill the Moonlight is the fourth album from Spoon, released on August 20, 2002.

The Way We Get By” was released as a single, and obtained praise from many critics. It was featured on the television shows The O.C. and Hustle as well as in the films Mean Creek, The Puffy Chair, and Stranger Than Fiction. “Don’t Let it Get You Down” can be heard in the 2005 comedy Waiting…

The song “Jonathon Fisk” is based on a bullying middle school classmate of songwriter Britt Daniel. According to Daniel, “Fisk” is now a fan of the band, and “came to all of [Spoon’s] shows for about two or three years.

I don't know what angular means with regard to music but yes to everything else

A great angular, minimalist indie rock album that just grows on you with every listen!

I may sound like a broken record, but I love every track on this album. I tend to say that about a lot Spoon albums.

Definitely one of the five (or so) best records of the past ten years. I have been jamming to this pretty continuously since I was fourteen. "Small Stakes" still gives me heart palpitations.

I really underappreciated the second half of this record for far too long. I was convinced 'Girls Can Tell' was their best record, but now I think it's between this and GaGaGaGaGa.

After much, much consideration, I've determined that KTM Is Spoon's best album. (Or Telephono. Or Series of Sneaks. Or Gimme Fiction. I'm pretty sure it's one of those...)
