Biography
Although primarily known online on the web as a designer, UK-based Elliot Jay Stocks is also a part-time musician and has been releasing music under the Sourhaze pseudonym since 2001 with the release of the electronic-metal debut album 'Bathed In Blue'. The album was released by the independent label Four Three Four Records, following a compilation that included two Sourhaze tracks.
In 2006 Elliot released the more experimental 'Second Leaf' and was joined on the album by several guest musicians: Rhys Marsh (of Rhys Marsh and the Autumn Ghost), Reuben Gotto (of Johnny Truant / Twin Zero), Alex Bradshaw (of Roncatto Braathen), and James Arter (of Dicejar).
Besides these two 'proper' albums, Elliot has composed two soundtracks to films by writer-director M J Blackman; The Ballad of Seven Sundays and True To Form (the latter again with Rhys Marsh). Both are credited to Sourhaze.
A new Sourhaze album is currently in the midst of being recorded and is scheduled for released in early 2009.
