This song represents to me an actual love, no need for details or a story. Just Janine.

"Very likely the single most perfect love song our world has ever known... " +1 I dont really remember the first time i heard this -- it was probably at the first SC concert I went to (they were touring to support Irresistable Bliss) --but I recall being overcome with the need to go out and buy the record and/or meet a girl named Janine.

The story behind this goes something like this: Mike was asked by a drunk guy how to get a woman to love him. Mike said, why don't you write her a song. The drunk guy replied, Hey, you've got a guitar--can you write it? Her name is Janine.
