Sort Code originally arose from a Windows based copy of Cakewalk software in the late ‘90’s. Where samples, loops, drum patterns and some vocals were thrown together.
The first album from Sort Code was called Antrax, which features eight tracks. These were put together in the late ‘90’s, but did not surface as a collection until 2003. All the tracks are royalty free and available for download.
Sort Code had been dormant since 2003, but musical senses were clearly tingling and in 2009, new output started to be produced.
Musical creations are now forged with Sony Acid Xpress 7.0 software, a Yamaha DD12 drum machine, a Fury bass guitar and an occasional dalliance with a Casio keyboard.
The second album; “Working Progress”, has grown track by track and the complete album is now available exclusively here on Last.fm.
A track from Sort Code was recently aired on a popular internet podcast; Brierly Hill 90210. The track was Glacier, from the album Antrax.
