Sorrowseed is a melodic doom/black/death metal band from Massachusetts, formed in 2009.
Their demo EP, “Portents”, was released in December 2009. Their debut album is scheduled for release in Winter 2010.

Sorrowseed’s influences include: Opeth, Amorphis, Cradle of Filth, Theatre of Tragedy, Arch Enemy, and Despised Icon.

“Eldritch Hunger” is a song from the perspective of the Scarab Prophet, who has risen from the depths of the underworld to wreak havoc upon the frail, fragile mortals of the Earth.
