Sophomore. Peacock is Christopher Bruno and a rotating caravan of mirthful merrymakers. As of 2010, their official lineup for live performances, otherwise known as the Sophomore. Peacock Collective, is Bruno (guitar), Ellis (bass), Vida (beats), StrangeLove (sonic manipulations), and Kaplan (visuals).
Formed amidst the whirlwind socio-musical upheaval of early 2008, Sophomore. Peacock are but humble minstrels and troubadours caught in the breeze. A Sophomore is a wise fool. A Peacock looks cool as shit. Sophomore. Peacock is a rumination on the inherent duality of existence. Some copacetic sounds, man.
Their debut EP “ahem.” was released in early 2010 and includes both studio recordings of Bruno’s songs and live improvisations by the Sophomore. Peacock Collective.
On April 20, 2010, the band released its second EP, “EEP”, which follows the format of “ahem.” albeit with a greater focus on improvisations.
They are currently recording material for two LPs to be released simultaneously within the next year: a concept record and a collection of studio versions of live favorites such as “Hurry Home” and “Coriolis.”
