And because to the uninitiated(&peasants) there is quite a lot of similarity in the sound they make and probably a lot of people playing 'cello tag' radio will be content to hear v' da gamba playing sometimes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I went to the trouble of googling it & found this video. According to this source, she died due to a cancer. . A memorial concert was held in her honour. I only just discovered her renditions of Marin Marais' music. An immeasurable loss.
