Thunderclap for Bobby Pyn (2:39)

Cover of The Eternal

From The Eternal and 1 other release

This song is a tribute to Bobby Pyn, one of the pseudonyms of Jan Paul Beahm, also known as Darby Crash, of the infamous L.A punk band The Germs. The rest of the title of this song, e.g., “Thunderclap for”, is an inference to a quote from the book, Lexicon Devil: the Fast Times, and Short Life of Darby Crash and the Germs, “The night he died there was this incredibly loud clap of thunder, it was short but LOUD, the most unbelievable thing; we were, like, “What the fuck?” The next day we found out he was dead, and I just thought, “That was him!”(pg. 258). - Paul Roessler
