    I love The Eternal. It introduced me to Sonic Youth and it is not in any way a bad album. It's a great album, not their best, but very good nonetheless.

    Rarely do Sonic Youth have songs where the melody is the star. Usually it's the guitars, or the drums. But here, CLEARLY, the melody is the best part of the song. The five note sequence "T-V An-Ten-Na" is beautiful... absolutely.

    Wait, so, Sonic Youth changed their sound to indie rock from....what? What kind of sound did they have before? I don't know much, but i'd think Sonic Youth has been changing their sound because they have been around for like, forever! Why would they do the same thing over and over? This is a great song, btw.

    This is pretty much the only song I like on "The Eternal". Indie rock is trendy again, so Sonic Youth changed their sound to appeal to a mass audience... just like they did in the early 90s. :(
