“Unassuming and friendly, sOna doesn’t shove their greatness in your face, but modestly sneak up on you and draw you in … Definitely worth checking out …” — Stein Haukland, Ink19.com

Based in State College, PA [i.e. Penn State University], “sOna [ US ]” were nominated for the 2nd Annual, AMA / Coca-Cola “New Music Award”, a new title bestowed upon only previously by Richmond, VA’s “Carbon Leaf”, when the award premiered in 2002.

See, also at last.fm: E-Nation, featuring members of sOna, AlevelA, Tal Peretz, and Velveeta.

SONA [ US ] members remain active in the music scene. Alec Russo, the 2nd half of sona’s dual-guitar layered tone, and Brian Lubrecht, sona’s vocalist perform in the band ‘Mr. Hand’. “Mr Hand” maintains a regular schedule, performing at Penn State’s hottest party spots. Greg Folsom continues to perform, in various ensembles.

Note for the Audioscrobbler:
Due to other artists with similar names, we recommend changing meta tags (ID3, etc.), Artist Title — from “sona”— to “sOna [ US ]”, where adding “US” in square brackets should repair misinformation otherwise suggested by media players.

Enjoy!

i'm a little surprised there aren't more "fan pics" here. i guess it's just a matter of no one knows the page is here (who used to be big fans of the band), or no one has anything, or those that people have feature lewd behavior, or.. who knows!

the problem w/ Solarcaine, IMO, however-- as recorded / produced on the first album-- is the tempo kind of drags. we should have done something to pick-it-up. also, the song translated very well, in the acoustic version (see "On Airwaves", WQWK Live)
