Obviously Solace Within isnt a band your parents would like to listen to. SWs agressive songs arent for the fainthearted. Fast drumming and lots of double bass gets your heart pumping, as do the fast and heavy guitar riffs. The unique and insane screaming makes your hair stand on end. SW works hard, but always enthousiastically, on establishing itself within the scene. Something which is already bearing fruit. SW played shows with locally well-known bands like When All Light Dies, Kudra Mata, Deadbeat and Troops of Doom. SW was the first metalband to have played in the Escape in Amsterdam. In May 2010 SW recorded a demo which was well recieved. After a great show in Atak Enschede, SW was asked to participate in Winter Offensief 2010 also in Enschede. SW won first prize and recieved 12 hours of studiotime with Tom Meier (known for recording Deadbeat, Treatment and Roadkill 55). A very welcomed “extra”, since the band was also asked to be part of a special project by We are the Artillery called We are the Troops. A dozen bands will record an EP of which 1 song will feature on a splitcd. All bands will join forces on 1 hardcore anthem which will also be on the cd. SW starts recording in Januari 2011. Besides recording and writing new songs, SW keeps on focussing on perfoming live, bringing the party to you!
