“Why we picked them: We can’t help but get nostalgic and reach for hairspray and skinny ties when listening to this duo’s new wave-y vibe.” Spin Magazine Feb 2009

“are quite deftly producing music which, given their combination of influences and experience has a unique charm entirely of its own, something that is often missing in today’s pop world.” … Tasty Fanzine, debut album review Jan 2009

“has us absolutely smitten … an overwhelming thought of Homestead or Sarah Records snatching this band up back in the day is an easy one to fathom.” … Milk Milk Lemonade review Dec 2008

So Shush have made the fourth annual Listen To Me top ten. The Listen To Me top ten is where I look back on all the bands and artists who’ve contacted me over the last year, and pick out the best ten. I play a track by all ten in my December Dandelion Radio show, and attempt some sort of countdown from ten to one. Number of choices I considered this year: around 300 October shortlist stood at 28 This year’s final ten: Apple Rabbits - Autorotation - The Chasms - Downtown Cuckoo - Eureka Brown - Golau Glau - My Odd Gong - The Owls Are Not What They Seem - Skeleteen -So Shush And if you're a fan of this great music, we'd love to get a vote from you in the Dandelion Radio festive fifty. Just go to http://www.dandelionradio.com/festive50.htm and tell us your top three of the year before the end of November.
