Smells Like Green started in the spring of 2007 in El Paso Tx by Nicholas Haddox as a one man experimental rock band. A couple of demos were recorded, and one called “The Motivation” was released in January of 2008. After that Nicholas went on to record another 17 track record called “Taboo,” and a follow up 9 track B-side/Remix album called “A Bitter Black Hole Bitch Remixes,” both of which were released in 2009. 2010 saw the release of the 27 track record “The Suicide Machine Anthems,” and it’s 12 track follow up B-side/remix record ” Cold,Quiet and Distorted,” was released January first 2011. On his birthday 2011 Nicholas Haddox is releasing the new 14 track record “The Wanderer(s),” and he has plans to re-release a remastered/rerecorded version of “Taboo.” He has also begun work on a new record called “X,” and a series of music videos to coincide with the records “Taboo,” “The Suicide Machine Anthems,” “Cold, Quiet and Distorted,” “The Wanderer(s),” and “X” entitled “Will Do Terrible Things For Money.” August 2010 also saw Nicholas Haddox coming out of the studio and taking the stage a few times in El Paso Texas for live Smells Like Green shows. He has since moved back to Denton Texas, where he has been playing a few live shows at local venues, and is currently plotting to tour and expand.
