Slow Death, a technical death metal band from Venezuela, Slow Death has been around the national scene since 1995, one demo released and two albums and participations on many compilatinos by Venezuelan and Argentinan labels.
History/Biography
Formed in 1995, by Antonio Rodriguez and Jorge Gutierrez. The band has suffered from several line ups changes, but mainteined the two former members, released a demo called ” A prayer for the damn” in 2000, later in 2002 release by Venezuelan metal label “melomaniac” “dead but. … still feeling the pain”, the same year tree unreleased songs are included in a 3 way split cd by Hurling Metal (Argentina). 2003 two songs fron the “dead but…” album are included in a metal compilation from the Argentinan label HM.

Slow Death se forma en 1995 en el estado Falcon, Venezuela por exmiembros de la Banda” Devastación”. Dicha formación no permanece junta debido a la muerte de el baterista, luego de reagruparse con nuevos miembros incluyendo a Antonio Rodríguez proveniente de una banda de Power Metal y a Jorge Gutiérrrez, de la banda Necrófago. El resto de esta formación atraviesa muchos cambios hasta mayo del 1999, donde se logra editar un demo que lleva por nombre “Demon Knight” que incluía dos temas, el homónima del demo e “In the name of Satan”, el siguiente año se completa este demo el cual se llamo “A prayer for the damn”. En el año 2000 entran en estudio para grabar lo que seria su primer álbum oficial “Dead but still feeling the pain” editado por “Melomaniac Metal Media Records” para este álbum se mantiene el line up fijo de Antonio R.
