There are at least 3 bands named Slow Children, one a New Wave band, one is mentioned below as being from Olympia, WA, and one a Hardcore Punk band from Corona, CA.

1. Slow Children was a New Wave band from the early 1980’s. Their three most popular songs were “President Am I”, “Spring in Fialta” and “Vanessa Vacillating”. The two primary performers were Pal Shazar and Andrew Chinich. (From Wikipedia.) They released two albums on Ensign Records: “Slow Children” (1981) & “Mad About Town” (1982). Pal Shazar went on to a solo recording career and has released nine CDs between 1991 & 2006.

2. Slow Children are a rock band from Southern Oregon. Seeded in the great state of Oregon and cultivated under the bright lights of the Sin City, they’ve come up with a blend of 90’s NW alt rock, 70’s prog, and a splash of reggae and jazz that they affectionately call “Oregonic Kush Rock.” They released their album Life in Reverie in 2009.

3. Slow Children was also the name of a group that formed in the summer of 1992 in Coos Bay, OR. They released a single Drone/Noni and several albums. They moved to Olympia, WA , where they released an album “Da Sein” on the label Runnning Records in 1995.
After the main members Sam and John Densmore found out there was another group that had the name Slow Children, they changed their name several times. Currently they are performing under the name Silverhawk out of Portland, OR.

The Hardcore Punk band “Slow Children” are known in the southern California punk scene and are recording their first album.

Aesop Dekker has no business talking. He just comes off as such a self-righteous prick.

Aesop Dekker (sorry dude but that monicker sounds like the off-spring of an illicit liaison between Philip K. Dick/Ridley Scott's anti-hero in 'Blade Runner' and an ancient Greek story teller) even Google is struggling to find the planet 'Agalloch'! I am reminded of the talentless trolls/flamers that plague social networks we call 'em 'trolls' - I would never be embarrassed by my enjoyment of anyone's music! As a former contributor to 'The Face' and 'Blitz' I interviewed many ADHD bands/managers, Pal and Andrew were never counted amongst them, same with CUD, Pistols, Leyton Buzzards, and of course 'The Zippers' famous for their legendary song 'You're So Strange' ... I believe Danielle Faye from Zippers, Jules Shear and Stephen Hague still rate 'Slow Children', nuff said. Thanks for the tip-off about that cut-out bin of obscurity, sounds great! Slow Children, 20 years on and still getting getting under peoples skin!

So Aesop Dekker from Agalloch said that these guys suck on his facebook. Here's a quote: "Bands that send huge spammy bulk emails to garner "support" for their mediocre bullshit appear desperate and cheap, and should learn to be embarrassed. You will be deleted and remain in the cut-out bin of obscurity. This is not SXSW. […] I'm looking at you SLOW CHILDREN " - Aesop Dekker
