Slim & Slam was a 1930s musical partnership formed by Slim Gaillard (vocals, guitar, and piano) and Slam Stewart (bass). They produced novelty jazz numbers featuring Slim's distinctive vocal style with scatting, hipster argot ,and nonsense words. A great duo. Very funny, very hip. One of my goals on is to get Chicken Rhythm into the chsrts. In my extended student days, we used to laugh ourselves silly over Slim's double-entendre chicken squawks (Very silly, but those with a robust humour find yourself one of the more robust versions of this fun track)
