    i'm not straight on the chronology [being too lazy to do the research], but i wonder if this did in any way "piggyback" or/ vs "inspire" Big Country, "Big Country" [sp?]... the guitar tones.... i recall-- could have been 30 years ago, Dick Clark Nation Music Survey-- how the hell knows-- but someone having said, once, of "Big Country, '...they figured out how to make their guitars sound like bagpipes...'", so i guess i've attributed that /sound/ to those guys, hence my term, above, "piggybacking", the popularity, etc. (this, being of course nearer the close of Slade's career, no?)
