  • Grabbed "Machina Genova" ... I fucking regret how I let two of my friends talk me out of buying the CD ages ago when I found it. It's totally different from "Stormchoirs" in style, but it's still a freakin' good record. I wouldn't really call it industrial, it's more like mechanical groove-based death metal. Can't really think of anything to compare them to ... maybe a minimalist version of Seance's "Salt-rubbed eyes". Love the vocals - reminds me of Johan Liiva's shouts when he was in Arch Enemy. But overall I think they found a very original style after "Stormchoirs" .. and sadly, that almost always means no one will give a shit about them. Just look at how Defleshed languished.
  • I'm happy you guys like our music!
  • Yay! Found "Stormchoirs" in a 2nd hand CD store. I reckon it's not that easy to come by. Another essential spot in my collection is now filled.
  • Skymning appear to be labelled Industrial Metal purely on the basis of their aesthetics, there's nothing industrial about them musically. Nonetheless Machina Genova is a very interesting album, very inventive use of distortion and loops.
