6) Skin (The Skin) is an odd noise-rock band based out of Richmond Virginia with a self titled CD out on CNP Records. The band is Alex Tomlin (La Mere Vipere, Battlemaster, Partyman), Derek Tomlin (La Mere Vipere), and Chris Conrad (The Amoeba Men, Seven Hearts) and each song on the CD has lead vocals with different guests including Danny Trice (La Mere Vipere, Leper Colony), Jason Hodges (The Amoeba Men, Suppression, Bermuda Triangles), John Chambers (Hallelujah!), Andy Horn (Battlemaster, Cannabis Corpse) and more!

1) Deborah Anne Dyer (aka “Skin”) (born 3 August 1967, Brixton, London, England) was the lead vocalist of britrock band Skunk Anansie. http://www.skinmusic.net/

After Skunk Anansie split, Skin released her debut solo album “Fleshwounds”. The album was toned down from her Skunk Anansie days and seemingly Skunk Anansie fans never took to it.

The dollar signs are a common symbol used by Swans and are a fitting way of covering Jarboe's nipples seeing as they were clearly so offensive to Skunk Anansie fans. I was considering giving her a bra, but that would defeat the object of the photo-shoot, i.e. to demonstrate Jarboe's openness to nudity at that phase. That would be degrading.

There's also another artist called Skin on this page. The reason I'm 'obsessed' with the 'snake on the head lady' is that this particular side project of Swans is probably the most moving and emotianally charged music I've ever heard, better than 'The World of Skin'.
