“A Detroit, USA based neo-psychedelic glam rock band which has recently self-recorded, produced, and mixed an 8 song LP. This 8 song LP “Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor” incorporates spacey fuzz rock, cavernous reverb, haunting vocals, and a strong drum and bass backbone to lock it all together. The band draws on such influences as Spacemen 3, BRMC, T-Rex, and Joy Division.”

Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor are blues-y, heavy, spacy and punk-y at the same time! Great band, great energy! And just like you’d expect from a psych-rock-trio from Detroit, Michigan, there is no sunshine pop to be found here. It’s all dark – those guys are serious – and noisy with lots of reverb, and they are VERY psychedelic. I clearly hear influences of Spacemen 3, The Stooges and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, though I’m still looking for the aforementioned T-Rex influence. Also the band’s name is rather special - to say the least. But so what!?
