This album was a mistake--in that I'd meant to buy something by someone else. The Banshees weren't my cup of tea. However, after listening, I quickly became a fan and bought all their other albums.

Just got all the original songs and heard them for the first time, right after listening to this. It's quite striking how much better many of these songs are than the originals!

Nope. This one is B O R I N G. Sorry. First two tracks are good. Third is so-so. The Passenger is good, if a little pedestrian. Otherwise: BORING.

i put off buying this for a long time because i usually don't like covers albums but i'd be prepared to say that this is one of their best albums. it's a really good mix between the early 80s rawer psychadelia and their subsequent more polished sound. it helps that they had exquisite choice in what they covered.
