About this album

Years after the breakup of Siouxsie & the Banshees, the three core members (Sioux, Steve Severin and Budgie) reunited for an abbreviated tour of the US and the UK in 2002. The Seven Year Itch is a live album recorded at a London concert during this reunion tour. Released by Sanctuary Records in 2003 (in CD and DVD formats), both critics and fans praised the tour and album as the Banshees concentrated not on radio hits, but both popular and obscure B-sides and album tracks, many pulled from their early albums.

This release also features a one-off rendition of The Beatles’s “Blue Jay Way”, played in the memory of George Harrison who passed away in 2001.

The title is a reference to the The Seven Year Itch movie as the Banshees hadn’t played together in seven years before delivering this final tour of their career.

Seven Year Itch is the second live album of the band, the first being 1983’s Nocturne.
