Siobhan Dillon

Siobhan Patricia Dillon (born 1 September 1984, Lichfield, Staffordshire) is an English actress and singer, who rose to fame on the BBC talent show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? in 2006 where she reached the final, finishing in 3rd place behind Helena Blackman and the winner Connie Fisher. She has since starred in the West End production of Grease as well as the UK tour of Cabaret.

She went on to make her West End debut in 2007 playing Patty Simcox in Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre. She was also an understudy for the roles of Sandy and Marty, playing both parts several times during her run in the show. She finished the role in June 2008 but returned in January 2010 to play the lead role of Sandy. She was succeeded by ‘Over The Rainbow’ contestant Lauren Samuels in July 2010.

In July 2008 she was cast in the tour of Can’t Smile Without You, a new musical based on an original idea by Bill Kenwright and featuring the hit songs of Barry Manilow, alongside Chesney Hawkes and Francesca Jackson.

From late 2009 Dillon took over the role of Sally Bowles in the UK tour of Cabaret. She is next set to star in the West End production of Legally Blonde from September 2010 playing the role of Vivienne.

Dillon won a record deal with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s company the Really Useful Group after How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? in 2006 but the album she recorded was never released.
