Simon Little (b. 1980, London) is a UK session bassist best known for his work with The Divine Comedy.
Simon started a solo bass project in 2008, and is currently working on an album of solo bass material. Free MP3 tracks can be downloaded from Simon’s Solo Bass Podcast.
A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Simon joined The Divine Comedy in 2002 and is still a regular member of the band. He has since toured and recorded with Clare Teal, Maggie Reilly, A Girl Called Eddy, Duke Special, The Duckworth Lewis Method and Chris Difford. As a jazz bass player he plays regularly with Ian Shaw, Lea Delaria, Symeon Cosburn, and Nina Ferro. Simon has also played with Nick Cave, Carleen Anderson, Beth Rowley and Ben Folds. As well as being an accomplished electric and upright bass player, Simon also plays the Chapman Stick.
