Last night, American R&B/soul singer John Legend was in Paris to promote his latest album, Love in the Future, and it was an unplugged concert.
After an opening part made by a DJ, John Legend arrived on the stage under the applause of the audience. The whole venue stood up and applauded the singer, who was surrounded by his piano, a cello player, a bass, a violin player and a drummer.
John Legend started the show with Made to Love (from his latest album), and continued with Tonight (Best You Ever Had) and then introduced himself. He said he was from Springfield, Ohio, and before he got signed on his current music label, every label turned him down (including the one is on right now). Then, he met Kanye West, and the rest is history.
He explained that he started out by playing the piano on Lauryn Hill’s song Everything Is Everything, and a few years later, he did the backing vocals on Alicia Keys’ song You Don’t Know My Name. …
