"kathy, i'm lost," i said, though i knew she was sleeping. gets me every time. (2) I'm empty and aching and I don't know why. So beautiful. <3

Loved this song on the soundtrack of the movie "Almost Famous". It was like hearing it again for the first time.

Best version - concert in central park. Better pace, less produced - really brings out the beauty of the song.

So poetic. "'Toss me a cigarette I think there's one in the raincoat' ... 'We smoked the last one an hour ago' ... So I looked at the scenery she read her magazine, and the moon rose over an open field" Beautiful.

I just wanted to share this amazing tribute by the great sister duo First Aid Kit: - notice Paul Simon sitting in the audience. His reaction says it all, really.

@ IHoldVertigo - doesn't it turn ironic by the end, as everyone is lost and sick and doesn't know why, they've all come to look for America and the America of the Dream doesn't exist, like the sweetness of the opening verses it's too good to be true? S&G were surprisingly political!
