Biography
one is a french dj/producer based in london who also releases as Mowgly, Marathon Men, Twitch, Loose Ensemble or Les Barons… Recently released Soul Fever feat. Steelo, Simbad will be dropping his album featuring singers on Raw Fusion in spring 2007, its all about soul & quality cosmic frequencies… catch him spinnin’ around the planet if you can !
The other is an indie-band from Helsinki, Finland. It was formed in the autumn of 2004 by Veijo Salo and Saara Shikeben and nowadays consists of 7 members: Saara Shikeben (vocals/flute), Veijo Salo (keyboards), Sikri Lehko (sax), Akuliina Niemi (trumpet), Otto Rönkä (drums), Ville Tikka (guitar) and Anton Nuotio (bass).
Simbad’s music is a mix of 60’s psychedelic pop flavoured with a twist of disco, indie and up-beat gypsypunk.
Simbad has released two EPs and is currently in studio (for first time with this new line-up) working on their third EP, which should be released later this year. Find out more at :
