Okay, I would say I liked Carnavas a lot when it came out. And I merely thought Swoon was good enough. But this album has, front to back, blown those two away. I like every song here. And this album has elevated my interest in their previous discs at the same time. Good job, guys.

I think if some people here say that they've had need of time to truly love this album as much as their first 2, it's that all the tracks are solid and good, but none is as much devastating as some tracks that Carnavas & Spoon possess. Anyway the album is of a qualitative density really high.

by far their most derisive effort. every song sounds like it's by another band, whether it be New Order, Radiohead, whoever. Still, it's a decent listen.

Definitely agree with those who say it took a little time for this album to grow on them. Wasn't sure I cared for it the first couple listens, but now I can't get enough. I think it might be their best. It's still recognizable as SSPUs, but there's something just a touch different about it, in a good way.

This album reminds me of Siamese Dream, Silversun style. I think it's great. The Pickups can do no wrong!

A definite grower... wasn't sure at first but it stands well alongside both Carnavas and Swoon as a slightly different sounding album. As for comparisons with Smashing Pumpkins, the sound similar occasionally, but they're from a similar style of music so err that's to be expected eh? As a Pumpkins fan I find them certainly different enough for my tastes.

@SergeantLynch Not so much internet gen as it is their albums production kinda blurs together... Its like a wall of sound most times. Though I will admit the new disc suffers from it the least.

Been listening last few weeks, definitely an incredible album, took a few listens for most of the back end of the album to open up. Had that problem with swoon too. But now it has, (like swoon) and i think it might actually be their best album. Only songs im not overly into are Blood Mary and Dot and Dashes. however the last two tracks, Gun Shy Sunshine and Out of reach are two of SSPUs best.

> All 11 songs are perfect. I Love them, it's their best album! All their albums are really the best. Each one is different though. Many modern bands just try to create something similar to a successful work of theirs, and thus become boring after their first success. But not SP. Really like them.
