There are at least three artists with the name Silent Majority.
1. Silent Majority formed on long island in the mid-90’s and became one of the most influential hardcore bands from the area. Tom currently sings for Capital. Many people consider them to be the best hardcore band originating from Long Island of their time
2. Silent Majority are a four piece melodic hardcore/punk band from the Eastern Shores of Hobart, Tasmania, made up of a bunch of best mates who met in high school. Having played through many different genres throughout their time as a band, Silent Majority are only just starting to find the sound the have been after for so long. Mixing elements of modern hardcore and punk with their own unique twist, Silent Majority have a sound that is hard to pin down and relate to anyone else. Having just released their second demo, a three track entitled “Empty Homes” that is made up of fast, aggressive verses, huge choruses, melodic breaks and heartfelt, honest lyrics. With writing under way for their first EP, Silent Majority are moving forward and evolving once again. This up and coming EP looks to be the release that will see Silent Majority showcasing what they are truly capable of.
3. Silent Majority was a Swiss rap and hip hop music group. Founded in 1994 they were produced by Goetz (U2,Faithless). Considered turntable pioneers at the forefront of Swiss hip-hop, Silent majority are unusual within the scene, defining themselves as “funky multi-linguals”, and rap in “a mixture of English, Jamacian patois, French, Spanish and Swahili”.
