127. Silent Descent - Mind Games
As soon as I saw the album cover, I knew this was going to be pretty terrible, but I decided to give it a listen anyway. A favourite from my shameful days where I would listen to deathcore, metalcore and trancecore, Silent Descent play a style of metalcore which incorporates trance-like synths. And unsurprisingly, on the first track they have also bought into the dubstep fad. I've grown out of this music for a reason, and sometimes it takes a reflective listen years later to realise this; for this reason Mind Games has been excellently bad.
