Biography

Sicko was a three piece pop punk band from Seattle, Washington. After releasing several albums on Empty Records they disbanded in 1998. Many of their short catchy songs dealt with geekier topics like computers, Carl Sagan, old Japanese cartoons or the life of the “Dateless Loser”. The cd “A Brief History of Sicko” was released on Mutant Pop and contains a total of 18 previously unearthed tracks, including a couple outstanding covers of R.E.M. and Van Halen, additionally (most of) their final concert is documented.

not heard much by them but bad year is pretty near to being the perfect punk record (nice cover of it by the shook ones as well)

Sicko opening for J Church: Portland OR 1996. Could you believe anything was wrong in the world on a night like that one?

LOVED Sicko - still do, though I admit it's been awhile since I've listened to them. I can't believe the Sprinkler song has been making me grin like an idiot for 15 years.

one of the best fucking bands to come out of seattle. when I was in high school I made it a point to own everything they ever released. I was really sad when they broke up... and that I had to miss all of their reunions.

Blows the shit out of Screeching Weasel and their contemporaries. I dig the obvious 80's college rock/post-punk influence in their songs.
