  • the lyric game (1)

    1 Jun 2010, 06:23 by spikemobile

the bands below represent what's in my mp3 player at the moment. and these are just some lines (favorite and whatnot) from the songs of the bands below. two bands have two lines because there are two albums of each on the ipod at the moment.
your task is - to guess which lyric belongs to which band and what's the name of the song. let the game begin!

    1) though my knees become weak, I will cause my foot another step to carry the task
    2) I knew this girl named Jessie, kept her life messy
    3) but I sit at a banquet for traitors placed here between a thief and a liar
Oh, Sleeper - A Banquet For Traitors
    4) I didn't know what I was looking for but I found it when I took your hand
Maylene and the Sons of Disaster - Listen Close
    5) and I didn't shave today, I probably won't tomorrow
    6) Jesus, I want to know you, I lay my life before You.
    7) we must relieve the suffering / we will liberate the captive
    8) and come what may, I'll still be here
  • tours I'd like to see. . .

    25 Nov 2008, 04:50 by KMFCM

I don't know who puts these tours together, but lately, there's always only one or two good bands out of 5 or 6. . . . .that's really annoying . . . .and often I just skip them. . .

After seeing such excellent tickets as the carcass reunion and the vision of disorder reunion, fuck. . .expectations are high. . .

here's some damn good tickets that I thought of in my head, while wondering "why are they on that awful awful tour?"

    prepare to enter the world of. . .what. . . if. . . .

    1. Killing Joke, Gojira, Wagdug Futuristic Unity
Joe from Gojira sings like Jaz Coleman from Killing Joke. . .and that's what made me think that could be a good pairing. I say Wagdug, because The Mad Capsule Markets are broken up or on hiatus or something. . .and what with KJ having a lot of industrial type songs anyway, it kinda does fit (that, and when I saw KJ a month ago, they were playing WAGDUG on the PA)
    I had thought of putting Jesu on. . .but I dunno. . . …
  • MORE verdicts. . .

    Mindless Self Indulgence - if
there's a whopping THREE good songs on this. . .and 2 of them are too long.
I mean yeah. . . I didn't expect to like it at all after the last one (all the best songs on You'll Rebel to Anything, weren't even on the CD, they came with the vinyl or something). . .but you know, there's always one good song. Another Mindless Rip-Off had 2, for that matter.

    5/10

Deicide - til death do us part
I barely sat through half of this. I compare this album to "the new black" by Strapping Young Lad, because both albums were made when the main men behind each group was "not into it" anymore and you could hear it in the music. Glen said in Decibel magazine that he's retiring. . .Stench should be thier last album. It was thier best in years, and being that Ralph left the band, they shouldn't have bothered. I mean, I don't even remember the songs I heard at all. You understand, EVERY song on Stench was catchy as hell. You weren't topping that. Oh well.

    29 Feb 2008, 17:47 by gohandesuyo9

    Shockwave / Omega Supreme

    Shutdown / Against All Odds

    Elements 4 Upward / E4U The Finest
