  • I love this band. Daemon lover has to be one of their best songs ever, if not the best. It is terribly underrated.
  • this band never lets me down
  • Send me a postcard darling, send me a postcard now.
  • for me, very much like burnedouttorch. except my intro to Shocking Blue (other than Venus/Hot Sand 45) was about a yr back picking up a copy of Shindig magazine with SH cover story. I then bought their vinyl lp's At Home, Scorpio's Dance, 3rd album and especially Attila - such a excellent album that is! hooked! better re-discovering this great band belatedly than having missed out.
  • I just now discovered this band. I was watching an infomercial for one of those CD compilations where they put a bunch of one hit wonders together and Venus came up by shocking blue with a small clip. Watching the clip I saw and heard something different in there sound (a raw straight beat, driving vocals and sound) so I checked them out. Love buzz came on and I was like "Sh*t, I thought Nirvana wrote this song?!?" after that it was one great song after another. I'm 44yrs old and over the past 5 years kind of given up on finding anything new. But music surprises you like that. I found something new except it was made 40 years ago. I FOUND A NEW GOOD BAND!!!
