“Coal Coal Black” is 1920s dub. It features bluesy vocals with electronic production. The vocalist is Shankhini, who also appears (raps) on the song “Shanghai Masai”, and “Slow Is the New Fast”.

This song is from the 19-track release “Various Chimeras” by Shinjuku Zulu, and also appears on the 13-track “DXLR8-Downtempo Best-Of K.I.A. & Shinjuku Zulu”, along with the songs “Mrs. Major Tom” (ambient ballad), “Broken” (chillout dubstep), and “Scarborough Fair (A True Dub of Mine)”.
