I now understand what makes this album so great... takes influences from Southern Rock such as technical playing of instruments & emotional lyrics, combining them with the intensity & loud sound of modern rock. Building off their Simple Man cover & the popularity that came from it... making something different from the other albums of 2005 & extremely special.

My favorite Shinedown album by a fucking mile. the lyrics on this album just fucking rule. as do all of the drum/vocal performances. fucking BRILLIANT album!

I have to say this is my fav Shinedown album but Leave a Whisper is really awesome too. Sound of Madness is really overrated.
